Ewe With A View Campsite Porthleven….. Cornish Camping At Its Best
Welcome to Ewe With A View Eco campsite. Situated on the stunning South West coast of Cornwall, just outside the idyllic fishing Port of Porthleven. If you’re looking for a truly special escape with unlimited potential for adventure, then look no further. Shepherds huts, camping and campervan pitches all available.
Our beautiful little Porthleven campsite is situated on a traditional Cornish Sheep farm featuring a 16th century original thatched farmhouse. Steve aka the ‘Salty Shepherd’ is the resident farmer. He has a real passion for sheep farming and takes great care over his flock.
As this is a sheep farm, we thought it would be remiss of us to not have a couple of luxury shepherds huts for our campers to enjoy this incredible part of the Cornish coast. This area is a treasure trove of discovery and there is nowhere better than our Porthleven campsite to explore from.
We have two Shepherds huts which are situated in a stunning part of the farm with views over the rolling hills and out to sea overlooking the port of Porthleven, Loe bar and the Lizard which is England’s most Southerly point. We also have 3 off-grid campervan pitches and 5 tent pitches available, which are tucked away in another beautiful field a bit closer to the site parking and farmhouse. Everyone gets hot showers and a flushing loo on our campsite too.
As a Greener Camping Club campsite, we adopt a more sustainable approach to camping and being small allows us to offer bespoke packages that allow you to make the most of your stay.
Trewithick farm is along the road between Rinsey and Porthleven. Porthleven is full of history and steeped in fishing folklore and has been home to a hardy fleet of fishermen for centuries. For your holiday of discovery come stay at Ewe-with-a-view Porthleven campsite today….

Explore And Discover
This is true ‘Poldark’ country and the walks/cycles available locally are a real connoisseur’s selection. From the nearby Rinsey with its old mining engine houses which went out under the ocean, wild horses running free and views of the crashing surf against the beaches and cliffs you will think you have stepped into an episode of the iconic television production.
Porthleven is also a food lover’s dream with a host of wonderful restaurants to suit all budgets and tastes. There are several chip shops including ‘Landed’ which is a connoisseur take on traditional fish and chips shops, a gourmet coffee shop, luxury deli as well as a large convenience store and post office for all of your essential requirements.
There are some great pubs including the famous ‘Ship Inn’ which is little changed in centuries and offers the perfect combination of cosy traditional pub, great food and drinks, unbeatable atmosphere and stunning views of the harbour and breaking surf .
Did we mention it is also home to England’s most famous wave known amongst the brave and the bold for producing the best tube rides in the country… but this comes at a price as the waves break over the shallow rocky reef just outside the harbour and is also fiercely protected by the locals… so great to watch the locals putting on a show and if you fancy a surf there are much safer and friendlier waves nearby at praa sands or over to Gwithian on the North Coast.
If you have never taken the plunge and want to learn how to surf you have come to the right place as we are also a family of surfers who run a surf camp in Morocco and have a partner surf school locally with the very best coaches (including one of the top British surf team coaches) the best equipment and of course service. We can arrange everything for you and if you are interested just ask Duncan for more information.
